Mr. Mbaye has over 40 years’ expertise in Corporate Governance and Banking Operations, which makes him an industry veteran. His former roles include the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Tanzania along with Banking and Financial Consultancy services in Dubai.

Hussein Ali Salad
Director

Mr Hussein Ali Salad is Businessman and holds Masters of Science degree in Governance and Development Management from the University of Birmingham in England and an ‘MBA’ Masters in Business Administration from the United States International University for Africa, Nairobi.
As a Senior Program and Policy Advisor, Mr Salad worked in the field of humanitarian assistance and development for over twenty years. During his tenure, Mr Salad liaised with regional, National and international authorities and partners in the planning and implementation of humanitarian Assistance programmes of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United States Agency for International Development in Somalia and larger Eastern African region.
In the private business sector, as a senior manager, Mr Salad served as a Director and Chaired several Boards including Kenya Forex Bureau and Remittance Association (KFRA), Opportunity Bank PLC of South Sudan, the East African GasOil Ltd and Takaful Insurance of Africa both in the East African region.
Mr Salad’s main areas of interest and expertise are in Governance, Development Management and strategic management.

Jama Mohamed Issa

Mr. Issa holds a Diploma in Business Accounting from Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario and a Diploma in Telecommunication Technology from Telecommunication Technical Institute of Mogadishu, Somalia.

He is currently the Managing director of Amal Real Estate Limited. He has served in various senior positions including (but not limited to), Chairman of Amal Board of Directors and General Manager at Orsheyal Hawala in Dubai, U.A.E. He is also is the Chairman of the Board Enterprise Risk Committee.

Abdullatif Essajee
Director

Mr. Essajee is a renowned accounting scholar. He served on the Professional Standards Committee and the Disciplinary Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). He also majored in Accounting in his Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies at the University of Nairobi. He is currently a lecturer at the University of Nairobi (UON), teaching both undergraduate and post-graduate students. Mr. Essajee was also the Chairman of the Board of Directors and a senior lecturer at Vision Institute of Professionals in Nairobi and Mombasa. He previously lectured at United States International University (USIU), where he headed the Accounting & Finance Department. Mr. Essajee lectures extensively on Islamic Finance. He has been a keen supporter of the move for the establishment of Islamic Banking in Kenya.

Sebie Abdulrahman Salim

He is a Globally Competent Leader managing multiple projects and priorities with both International and Domestic teams. He has also demonstrated success in fast paced, entrepreneurial environments. He has a proven track record in design, development, implementation, and support of banking solutions for over 200+ clients across 25 countries in Africa.

Sebie has a passion for data, security and financial inclusion. He sits on several corporate boards across the globe with interests in Technology, Banking, Energy and Agriculture.

Sebie holds a MBA & Business Analytics Certificate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and BSc in Statistics from The University of Nairobi.

Professor Mussa Juma Assad
Director

Dr. Mussa Juma Assad holds BA and MA degrees in Commerce; a Doctor of Philosophy in Accounting, University of Southampton; a Master of Arts in Financial Control along with a Professional Diploma in Accounting, from Dublin City University; and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Dar Es Salaam. Dr. Assad is the Controller and Auditor General of The Republic of Tanzania. He is also a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Accounting at University of Dar Es Salaam. He has authored various books and won numerous academic awards. He is also is the Chair of the Board Audit Committee.
