Sharia’h Supervisory Board
FCB’s Sharia'h advisory board consist of Scholars of high repute with extensive experience in law, economics, banking and Islamic finance. The members have been sourced from both inside and outside Kenya. The Board assists in the development and supervision of the Bank’s investment and financing products and services and also ensures that all day-to-day transactions of the Bank are carried out in strict compliance to Islamic principles of banking.

Sheikh Ahmed Suliman - Chairman
A South African National, Sheikh Ahmed Suliman is an Islamic scholar and currently Head of the Shariah department at the First National Bank in South Africa. He has previously served as a Sharia’h consultant to the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and has served on numerous bank Sharia’h boards in Malawi, Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya. Sheikh Suliman is an expert on Islamic Jurisprudence. He is also a trained accountant.
Dr. Abdallah Mohamed Abubakar – Vice Chairman
Dr. Abdallah Mohamed Abubakar is a renowned scholar of Islamic Studies. He holds a Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Theology and Philosophy from National University of Malaysia and Masters of Education in Quran Commentary and Philosophic traditions from King Saud University, Riyadh. He is currently a lecturer at the College of Islamic Studies in Kisauni, Mombasa.
Sheikh Ishak Ismail Ahmed - Member
Sheikh Ishak Ismail is an Islamic scholar and a founder of Major Islamic Institutions in Kenya. He studied at Falah Daarain Islamic University in India and is currently the Chairman of Maahad Daawah Organization and Park Road Masjid. He is a member of Majlis Ulamaa Kenya, Parklands Masjid and Jamia Masjid. He is also the founder of Al Furqan Training Institute and Maahad Daawah Organization.
